Overview

What Craftifact includes, where the Control Plane begins, and how the public docs are structured.

Craftifact is the artifact repository itself. It is meant for end users, especially developers who inspect, upload, download, delete, and trace artifacts and their relationships.

The Control Plane is the separate management application around Craftifact. This is where all administration happens, including instances, domains, identity providers, and other account- or lifecycle-level settings.

In short:

  • Craftifact is for day-to-day work in the explorer tabs: Browse, Robot accounts when permitted, Dependencies, Findings, and Policies.
  • The Control Plane is for administration and configuration.
  • The areas below take you straight to the kind of guidance you need next.
